Two workers at Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories in Rouses Point
Two workers inspecting pills at Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories. The tools they are holding may be designed to vacuum up pills that don’t pass inspection. 1970s. Rouses Point, NY. Photo courtesy of the Rouses Point-Champlain Historical Society.
Geri Favreau went to work for Ayerst in 1967. She worked there for 37 years on the office side of the business, taking care of things like personnel, purchasing equipment, and budgets. She saw a lot of changes there over the years, especially for women who worked there. Listen to her story here.
