John Francis Dobbs (L) and son Samuel Dobbs drive a car through the countryside, likely the southern Adirondacks.
John Dobbs started a business called Dobbs Cottages on Paradox Lake around 1900. The business started with one hunting lodge for rent, and expanded to twelve summer cottages. It was later renamed the Lake Paradox Club, and is still in operation by Dobbs’ great-great-granddaughter Kelly Waleski. Date of and location of the photo are unknown. Donated by Kelly Waleski.
