The Diamond Match Company’s paper mill operation site in Ogdensburg

First year of the Diamond Match Company B.F.D. Division paper mill’s operation. Here, pulp is unloaded at the new operation site, which had formerly been residential. The homes pictured being covered in logs were owned by local residents, on Broad Street.  The homes were purchased by the company, and later the city gave the title to the street to the paper company. Ogdensburg, NY. Circa 1930.
