Trotters on the Ice in Tupper Lake

Two men, one is one of the Weir brothers, promoting Trotters on the Ice. Ice Trotting was a huge sport and pastime in the Adirondacks in the 18th and 19th centuries, and involved racing horse-drawn sleighs on ice. Trotters on the Ice had a large oval track, and racers competed for prize money. January of 1896. Tupper Lake, NY.
